One afternoon a lawyer was riding in his limousine when he saw two men along the roadside eating grass. Disturbed, he ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate.

He asked one man, "Why are you eating grass?" "We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied. "We have to eat grass." "Well, then, you can come with me to my house and I'll feed you," the lawyer said.

"But sir, I have a wife and two children with me. They are over there, under that tree." "Bring them along!" the lawyer replied.

Turning to the other poor man he stated, "You come with us too." The second man, in a pitiful voice, then said, "But sir, I also have a wife and SIX children with me!" "Bring them all!" the lawyer answered.

They all entered the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limousine.

Once underway, one of the poor fellows turned to the lawyer and said, "Sir, you are too kind." "Thank you for taking all of us with you."

The lawyer replied, "Glad to do it. You'll really love my place. The grass is almost a foot high!!"

Happy New Year! E-mail

So the world as a whole seems to have become more rude than I can ever before remember.  Kids have no respect for authority, adults, or even their parents.  Drivers are all about them, no longer even making an attempt to allow people to merge, or get out of the way when they are going under the speed limit.  So how about for the new year we all try to be at least a little bit nicer to one another, and the world around us.  Might make for a more pleasant year for everybody.

Loss for the Star Trek World E-mail
Written by Eric

Majel Roddenberry passed away this past Thursday at the age of 76.  Many probably have no idea who she was, the simplest way to state it is "the first lady of Star Trek".  Majel was the wife of Gene Roddenberry, creator of Star Trek.  More than just being his wife, she took part in every single Trek series in some form or another.  She was a doctor in the the original series, Deana Troi's mother in the next generation, and made guest appearances in all of the other newer series.  She was also the voice of the computer, even up through the most recent movie preparing to be released.  This is a sad loss for Trek lovers everywhere.  No doubt the latest movie will be dedicated to her.

Meet the Stupids E-mail

So by now most people have probably heard about the Walmart employee that was crushed to death while opening the store on Black Friday.  In regards to that, all I can say is that every single person that stepped on, passed by, or even saw that man lying on the ground is scum.  Any decent person would have been trying in some way or another to help.  Screw the $50 is savings you might get on a television, this is a human life we're talking about.  Have we as U.S. citizens become so caught up in our greed that we no longer care about our fellow man?  Sadly I suspect the answer is no, we do not care.  I can only hope that more people are outraged at this type of event and remember that possessions are nice, life outweighs it in every way though.

To top it all off though, two of the other shoppers are now suing Walmart for being crushed in the stampede as well.  Mind you they were more than glad to stampede by the guy that died and go make their purchases, but darnit, they deserve some money for being such good customers and people as a whole(sarcasm here).  I hope these two go to court and the judge throws them both in jail just for the heck of it.
