So after re-installing Windows XP a week ago I decided that I was tired of the old blue taskbar and the look and feel in general. For some time I have been using RightClick to create a menu that can be popped up by right clicking on the desktop. I love this feature as it is easy access to any program you want without having to go all the way to the start button. So I had my right click menu, now I need a new taskbar feel. I looked at the Explorer replacements but decided against them for stability and performance reasons. Instead I decided to patch my uxtheme.dll and get a third party theme. The theme I chose was that of Mac OS X Tiger but StudioTwentyEight has a lot of great replacement themes. So got that going. Now things were beginning to be a bit different. I decided to go with one last addon, Freeshade , which allows you to minimize a window up into its own title bar. Great for quickly organizing too many open windows. The results can be seen below:
